Buster’s story begins when he was brought into the Orange, CA shelter after being hit by a car which almost destroyed his left rear leg. Through donations made to the shelter Buster underwent two major surgeries to repair his leg. In addition to the left rear leg, his front right leg sustained nerve damage from the accident. Due to the harsh shelter environment Buster’s health started to decline while he was supposed to be healing from the surgeries, so OCPBR rescued him and placed him in a special needs foster home. His foster parents are both Chiropractors who work with our Veterinarian to provide Buster with ongoing physical therapy to help him heal from the damage caused to his body during the accident. Part of his physical therapy needs were water therapy, so we purchased and placed an above ground pool in his fosters backyard to ensure he received his therapy as often as needed and in the comfort of his foster home environment. Buster is about a year old, loves every dog and person he meets and is just a goofy sweet pup! To help us with expenses for Buster’s ongoing therapy please donate to us through PayPal here. You can indicate “For Buster” with your donation and it will be put directly into his costs of care. Thank you!
