Hey there! My name is Charlie Chaplin! I will definitely make you laugh, just like my namesake. A little bit about me: I was surrendered to the local shelter because my people could no longer keep me. They did say I was great with kids. I lived as an outdoor dog, but now I am learning what it means to truly be a part of a family. I am seven months old and already weigh 57 pounds. I will keep growing to be a big handsome boy! I am starting to learn basic obedience and to potty outside. I have been doing great settling in with my foster family and really enjoy playing with the other dogs in the home. I am a fun loving puppy who’s looking for an active family who will keep me busy and teach my everything young dogs need to know. I promise if you adopt me, I will add lots of fun and love to your life!

“Rozie was Maya’s best friend and walking companion. Rozie was so gracious and kind with Maya, always letting her walk in front allowing Miss Little Pants, Maya to be the alpha, when clearly Rozie was much larger than Maya! Rozie had the best Mommy Jamie on the planet who went above and beyond making sure Rozie had the best life possible. Rozie was a snuggler and I would sometimes crawl in her bed and spoon with her. She never minded and always welcomed the cuddles.

We miss you, Rozie, but you will NEVER be forgotten, precious girl!”

This is a great dog who knows many basic commands including sit, stay, shake, come, lay down, fetch and walks well on a leash! He gets along great with other dogs and children. This adorable guy started his journey as an injured puppy at the shelter, but was rescued by OCPBR thanks to one of our amazing foster families. He absolutely thrived in his foster home and won the hearts of everyone he met, including his new adopter. Colton now lives with an active young guy and will spend his days doing fun outdoor activities and have a very loving home at night to cuddle up in.

They are a wonderful family owned boarding facility who can accommodate any dog, even those who don’t care to play with a group like our girl. Usually these dogs sit in a cage all day while other play, but Ladybug had a suite to herself and lots of individualized attention. She was a happy girl there! OCPBR did, and one of our favorite adoption stories this year was of Coco. Coco was rescued from a known dog-fighting area as a puppy, adopted and returned to OCPBR a short time after. Her family was going through hard times and you can tell how it affected her. She was a very nervous dog unsure of herself and everything else in the world. She quickly made friends with the two dogs in her foster home and became more and more confident every day. It wasn’t long before she found her forever home where she enjoys playing with her large toy collection and hiking at Big Bear. She is safe again and the light of her adoptive Mom’s eye. We hope that many more dogs have had happy endings as well this year.

We wish everyone the best in 2013 and many more happy tails to come!
